Community Working Bee Day

In preparation for our first retreat at the AIAB, we had a Community Working Bee day on the 29th of October, 2011. The four-fold sangha responded with generosity and much work was done with joy and mindfulness.

Buzzing bees around the lotus hive

Nameless hearts full of joy and generosity.

With ease and mindfulness alive

We cut down the grass of ignorance,

Sweeping away cobwebs of past sorrows

And cleaned the stains of wrong perceptions.

Our breathing and footsteps

Are synchronized and harmonious

In brotherhood and sisterhood.

Under peels of laughing sunshine

We build our Sangha gleefully.

At the end of the working day

Our bodies are a little tired

But our stomachs filled with yummy nutrition,

And our hearts are at peace, gladdened

By happiness rewarding.

What a joy to be able to serve

With love and non-discrimination.
