To celebrate the Year of Horse, Plum Village Hong Kong / Asian Institute of Applied Buddhism welcome you to join our Chinese New Year activities.  Activities will be started from February 16, 2026 (the New Year Eve), to February 18, 2026 (the 2nd day of Horse Year). Please refer to each day schedule and registration in the “Upcoming Events”. All activities are at Lotus Pond Temple, except as stated. February 16, 2026 (Monday, New Year Eve) 16:30 Welcome guests 17:30 Orientation 18:00 Dinner 19:30 Walking Meditation 21:00 Total Relaxation 23:30 Sitting & Welcoming New Year Ceremony If you stay overnight, we invite you to bring along your sleeping bag or bed sheet & pillow case in order to preserve the precious water in washing bed linens. The suggested contribution for the night is $200. Please pay cash upon registration arriving the temple. If you plan to leave after the Ceremony, please arrange for own transportation. We are very happy to inform that at the beginning of the year 2026, from January 8 – 11, we are going to organize Wake Up retreat for young friends, aged 18 – 40. The theme of this retreat is “Be Free Where You Are”. We will have an opportunity to look deeply at ourselves to find out how to be free whenever we want to.  We will learn the way to cultivate the energy of mindfulness that helps to transform our lives.
