Body-mind Wellbeing Retreat

We just finished the Body-Mind Well-being Retreat “Transfoemarion and Healing” from October 19 – 23. More than 80 friends joined. Other than Hong Kong, we had friends from Malaysia, PRC, USA, etc.

The weather on the first day was fine. The next day rained. Temperature dropped a lot to 15-16c. Cool and wet, but it didn’t affect us. Everyone enjoyed the activities in the retreat. From the Morning sitting session, guided sitting meditation, listening to the sutra, working meditation, Dharma talk, lunch, Total Relaxation, dharma sharing and evening activities.

The executives of AIAB gave us Dharma talks in three days and Q&A session. The contents are rich and practical. Everyone sat there and listened attentively.

Fourteen Mindfulness Trainings Transmission Ceremony

The Fourteen Mindfulness Trainings (14 MT) are a modern distillation of the traditional Bodhisattva precepts of Mahayana Buddhism, created by Thich Nhat Hanh in Saigon in 1966.

These Fourteen Trainings outline a way of practicing harmoniously in community followed by residents at all of the international monastic practice centers in the Plum Village tradition.

In the weekend of Oct 28 – 29, we are fortunate to have had a 14 MT Transmission Ceremony held in Lotus Pond Temple and ten aspirants vow on taking on The Fourteen Mindfulness Trainings.

Wake Up Retreat: Mindfulness Survival Kit 101

We are very happy to inform that at the end of this December we are going to organize an International Wake Up retreat for young friends, aged 18-35, to come and join our practices together.

The theme for this retreat is Mindfulness Survival Kit 101. We follow the Five Mindfulness Trainings, which are ethical guidelines that offer concrete practices of true love and compassion, and a path towards a life in harmony with each other and the Earth. We will have a chance to know and go deeply into these guidelines of the Five Mindfulness Trainings. They are like the set of tools and equipment that we can use to build our spiritual home where we can feel comfortable and peaceful to live in.

Old Path White Clouds 2024 Pilgrimage in India

The long-awaited Pilgrimage to India, planned to happen after the finishing of the Old Path White Clouds class (April 2019 – July 2021), is finally materialised.

In this pilgrimage, we will travel with the same practice spirit as what the Buddha and the Sangha did thousands years ago. There will be about 10 groups of 20 Sangha members, plus two monastics to guide each group. We will travel as a family with each group for the entire trip, having daily mindfulness practices, dharma talks in big group and small groups, groups sharing, opportunities to get in touch with local life and cultures and to visit places that the Buddha and the Sangha lived. We live and practice as a Sangha like in the Buddha time.

  • Time: Feb 25th, 2024 – Mar 10th, 2024
  • Location/Country: India
