If you have any book (not magazine) from Thay Thich Nhat Hanh, or any book written by the Plum Village monastic (for example, Sister Chan Khong, Sister Dang Nghiem, Brother Phap Hai…) or Plum Village sangha, (Chinese, English or Vietnamese), book donations are welcome.
Dear friends, Greetings from monastics of AIAB, Plum Village Hong Kong. In September 2020, our sangha humbly asked your help in rebuilding our houses in Luk Wu area, Lantau Island. Our House in Luk Wu Volunteers helped in “Do it by ourselves” campaign We received a lot of love from many friends and volunteers in supporting this meaningful project. However, the sangha and volunteers cannot execute engineering works that only professional contractors can accomplish, and cannot produce items that can only be procured from manufacturers/suppliers. Due to the substantial costs, in order to make our dream comes true, there is a need for us to launch the second phase fund raising. Please choose one or more needed items from the following list and contact us (e.g. One set of “Shrine and Decors” for $40k). We will issue and mail a tax-deductible receipt, Letter of Gratitude, and a Commemorative Book to acknowledge your compassion and generosity. Items that Require Donation Qty Each Costs (HK$) Total (HK$) 1. Bespoke Sculpture Statues 3 $100,000 $300,000 2. Shrine and Decors 4 $40,000 $160,000 3. Bricks, Walls & Roofs 20 $30,000 $600,000 4. You are invited to Friday Night Practice. Our mind has a habit of running, not being able to be present in the here and now. Mindfulness is the kind of energy we generate when we bring our mind back to our body and be aware of what is going on in the present moment, in us and around us. Every two weeks there is Friday Night Practice, we have a chance to practice Mindfulness together with others in the community. We can generate a powerful collective energy that can bring healing and transformation in ourselves and the world. The Friday Night Practice is held on the 1st & 3rd Friday of each month in Central. However, due to COVID-19, we will be continuing the practice online. There is no experience or fee required. Please be invited to arrive 10 minutes earlier so that we are able to settle down, relax our body and mind.
